Step-by-Step Process for NOC Re-Issue

- Drafting an Affidavit – Prepare a notarized affidavit stating the circumstances of the loss and your request for a re-issue.
- Prepare the Application – Submit a formal request along with Form 28 and supporting documents to the RTO.
- Verification & Clearance – The RTO checks for any pending challans, dues, or disputes before granting a duplicate NOC.
- Re-Issue of NOC – Once verified, a fresh NOC is issued either in-person or sent via post (depending on RTO policy).
Documents Required for NOC Re-Issue

- Copy of original Registration Certificate (RC)
- Copy of the lost NOC (if available)
- Copy of Valid Insurance and PUC
- FIR copy from local police station

- Identity proof (PAN, Voter ID, Driving License)

Important Things to Know
- A re-issued NOC is only valid for the same RTO as the original. If your destination RTO has changed, you must cancel the previous NOC (if active) and apply fresh.
- You cannot sell, transfer, or re-register your vehicle without an active, valid NOC.
- If you continue to use the vehicle in the original state, you may be required to cancel the NOC first.
